sugarcane bagasse

sugarcane bagasse

Sugarcane bagasse is what is left once sugarcane stalks have been crushed for their juice. This fibrous material is mouldable and durable, looks like moulded cardboard and has a wide range of applications.

Bagasse is suited to dine-in and delivery for most hot and cold foods. Not suitable for liquids at boiling point or for food storage. Test samples to ensure suitability for your needs.

pla bioplastic

PLA bioplastic

One of the first bioplastics, polylactic acid (PLA), is produced by bacterial fermentation of carbohydrates. Due to its functionality, PLA is a good replacement for fossil-fuel plastics.

linings & coatings

aqueous coating

Aqueous is a water-based dispersion coating for paper packaging that repels liquid. Look for our ABA Certified Compostable ranges as you browse. This certification is to Australian Standards. Aqueous coating contains a fraction of synthetic polymers compared to other lining materials, which creates a food-safe and waterproof protective layer.

PLA lining

PLA (polylactic acid) is made from renewable plant materials like corn starch or sugarcane. Look for our ABA Certified Compostable ranges as you browse. This certification is to Australian Standards. PLA acts as a moisture barrier to prevent leakage without the need for fossil-fuel plastic.
